Dear Friends and Family,

As most of you know, I will be moving to Rome in January for up to 2 years of service at the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS) office.  I will be working in Communications (websites, newsletter, publications, etc.).  I thought I’d give you an update on my preparations for the trip.

  • I’m waiting for the paperwork to come from Rome to apply for my Visa – please pray for this process.  UPDATE Dec. 19th: My Visa has arrived!!!
  • I’m working on my flight to Rome, to depart Dec. 29th or 30th.  UPDATE: Departing Dec. 30th, arriving in Rome on Dec. 31 – in time to bring in the new year with new service!
  • The ICCRS office has arranged for me to stay at a Monastery about 10 minutes walking distance from the office. 🙂
  • I’ve been researching practical things, like health insurance, that I will need in Italy.
  • I will be in Pittsburgh the first week of November for some meetings and will also store my belongings, except what’s going with me to Rome, there.
  • I’ll be flying home to Seattle for the week surrounding Thanksgiving.
  • I’m continuing to build Day50 Communications.

Here are some photos of where I will be working (The ICCRS office is actually in the wing to the left of the pin drop)!

Over the years I have learned that serving God and following your heart isn’t possible alone – it really takes a community to discern and to be able to move forward.  Thank you for your support in the past and please continue to pray for all that God has planned for this new mission.  Thank you!

Many blessings and prayers!
Tammie

I hope to continue posting periodic updates once I move – an attempt to stay in contact better.  Please let me know if you’d like to be part of an email list as well.
